*because in certain countries (still today even) they kill newborn girls by stuffing the leaves down their throat. and we have ollianders lining our yard, and i'm always scared of them because i have three cats and a dog and i don't want them to eat it and be poisoned. so even though it's beautiful and reminds me of sakuras, they make me think of death.*

So guys, how do i get him back ?

Ever since i saw movies like... white oleander and how to deal...i've wanted a boy just like paul, or whoevr the guy in that movie was...but you get the point i wanted a best friend guy like that, the retarded thing is i screwed that up without even noticing it...i mean he's been there this whole time, and i've never relized it at all, i just kinda wrote him off as stalkerish or really creepy...but he wasnt being at all he was just doing what no1s ever done for me...been intrested in who i really was, and wanted to hangout with me and find out about all my funny quirks n even when i was mean he kept coming back trying to ge into my crowd and be a fried n when i was sad n really down he was there to do sumting retarded just to cheer me up..n when everyone would leave n do there own thing he came to where ever i was no matter how bad i was at my new found sport to cheer me on, even when his friends laughed at me, till i blew it, one comment about us being good togetherfrom one of his friends freaked me out n yes i got up n made a stupid scene half joking like a shouldnt have n in front of all his friends i said thats the stupidest thing ive ever heard n was all eww no...n left him there with all his friend doing that retarded guy "oooooo burn " thing...n even thought he wont admitt it i know i hurt him...he went on being my friend for the last week of skate youth n now he makes no effort ever to talk to me even when i talk to him...i dont know what to do to get him back...n i misss him soooo much...

So guys, how do i get him back ?
You can start by eating some humble pie, sitting him down and apologizing, not just for insulting him, but doing it in front of his friends.





Then you can finish it up by telling him waht you want, just like you told us in here.





Don't exagerate, just tell him what it is you want, you might be pleasantly surprised....:)
Reply:well, if you get him back, its gonna be diffrent. he wont talk to you as much and hes gonna want to give you a lot more space to avoid this from happening again. i think you need to see him in person with out all the instagators and lay it all out on the table. it sounds like youve fallen for him after you lost him and that sucks so im sorry. i hope you get it figured out.
Reply:Yeah.......you couldn't have done a better job if you'd quite literally stuck a knife in his back and twisted. Guys are REALLY perceptive toward what a girl really thinks of them, and the decent ones take something like you said as an absolute get-the-hell-away-from-me rejection. Apologize, do it privately to him, and tell him you regretted it immediately after because that's not what you meant. Then make a point of hanging tight with him in front of his friends. Good luck to both of you.
Reply:I have the best answer to your problem. Be there for him. Go out of your way to let him know how much you care for him. Maybe go out to eat or a movie. Explain to him how you feel. Do something retarted to cheer him up. I would especially do it when he's around the same group of friends you embarrassed him around.





Even though you may embarrass yourself, look how many times he has done it for you! The guy sounds like he cares for ya. Let him know how much care. Be there for him like he was there for you! I know you can win him back...by doing the same goofy things he has done for you to show you he cared!

Reply:Maybe you should try the classics, Jane Austen is really good, try Pride and Prejudice or Sense and Sensibility booth really good. Read Charles Dickens, Edith Wharton's the House of Mirth is one of my favourites. Tess of the D'Urbervilles is sad but beautiful. The best thing about the classics is while the times may have changed human nature is pretty constant.





One of the best parts of reading these books is the wonderful use of english, and the things great authors can do with words can amaze you.





Right now I'm reading Beyond the Boundary by CLR James, and even thought I;m not that into cricket, the way he writes a sentences should be one of the wonders of the world,. It's that good.

Citrus trees dying.?

I am caring for a property in hot southern California in the desert near Palm Springs. The mature orange and lemon tree on the property seems to be slowly dying. No new leaves are forming and the old ones have fallen off. I have also planted 3 other baby citrus trees (grapefruit, lemon, lime) and only one of those (grapefuit) is leafing and flowering. The other 2 lost their leaves and the trees look like green sticks in the ground.





I have been watering them every other day and removing some of the dead limbs. Does anyone have any advice on saving the remaining trees and any tips on keeping baby citrus trees healthy and growing? Do I need a specific fertilizer? Any answers would be helpful.





PS All of the other plants on the property are thiriving---however most of them are drought and heat tolerant. (Bougainvilla, cactus, fig, oleander, palms.)

As "LJAY" mentioned in her response, your citrus were probably damaged by the frost and are now losing their leaves. Since you mentioned that "The trees look like green sticks in the ground", that's a good indication that the trees are still alive.





My advice is to purchase a couple of bags of bagged compost and a bag or two of steer/chicken manure and then scatter it around the trees followed by an irrigation to move the beneficial microbes into the rooting area of your trees. These microbes will help make take in more available nutrients into the trees and aid in their recovery as well as protecting the them from the various diseases and soil-borne insects.





Another little-known fact that many homeowners are unaware of is a beneficial fungi called "Mycohrrizae". You can purchase this fungus and apply it to the soil as you would a liquid fertilizer followed immediately by a good watering. Once it establishes itself onto the roots, it helps the plant forever with no need for re-treatment.





Mycohrrizae attaches itself to the roots of the plant and begins to send out "microscopic roots" into the soil, while acting as an extension of the roots of plants. These microscopic roots are able to absorb water and nutrients much better and at a higher rate than regular roots while making it more drought-tolerant and disease resistant. Citrus respond quite favorably to this beneficial fungus and you'll begin to see an improvement within 3 to 4 weeks after treatment. I strongly recommend this use of this fungus to every home gardener.





Just remember that citrus doesn't do well in extremely wet conditions. Keep the soil moist and not saturated.





There are several good fertilizers designed specifically for citrus/avocados but most fertilizers high in Nitrogen will work. Apply fertilizer every 4 to 6 weeks from now until August.

Reply:Your problem may have been the hard frost we had here about 2 months ago, and it gets even colder in the desert. Citrus are fairly drought tolerant. You shouldn't need to water every day. A deep water once week is plenty, I water mine even less than that. My guess is the tree is cold damaged. I wouldn't prune it. It is very hard to tell what is really dead wood and you will stress the tree even more.. You are going to give the trees time to recover. The best thing you can do is nothing.





For the young trees, Citrus trees take some time to mature, 5-7years. The young trees may not be old enough to flower yet.
