Book suggestions? Best answer rewarded ;)?

I read roughly 60 books in 2007. Unfortunatly, I can't think of any that made a place into my "favorite" catagory other than the ones I re-read. Basically, I'm awful with judging books by their cover. The best books I've read have been ones I wouldn't have chosen myself had someone not recommended them. I also love books that cover a lot of life, such as from childhood or adolescense to young adulthood or adulthood.

"Intimate Death: How the Dying Teach the Living to Live" or something like that... by Marie DeHenezel. It's a beautiful story about a nurse in France who worked in a palliative care unit at a hospital, and her experieces treating people who were dying of various illnesses like AIDS and cancer... and how they helped her learn a lot about herself in the process.





I also agree with the first reply.. "The Traveler's Gift" is an excellent read.

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee


Lightning by Dean Koontz/ The main female in the book is one of koontz best characters and it has alot of her life in the book from birth to the present.


Also Life Expectancy by Dean Koontz/ has the main character from birth to present as predictions are made about different terrible events that will happen during his life while he is being born and dreads the coming of each prediction date.


Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold.


It by Stephen King. This book is one of the scariest books ever written and has a group of main characters who battle an evil clown entity as kids then come back to finish it off 28 years later as adults.
